A Chinese provincial government engaged B4U law to verify the authenticity of a due diligence report allegedly prepared by a German „Big Four“ auditing firm (names of the parties involved must not be disclosed).
In cooperation with the auditing firm, we found that the due diligence report was a forgery – albeit a very good one at first glance. B4U law could save the Chinese government agency from investing a substantial amount of money in a project that was advertised with forged documents.
Prior background checks on people and documents can be done quickly and for a fraction of the cost that would be incurred if the project fell into fraud.
